Owners Gavin and Lou Brightwell, along with a small team of staff have been keeping busy during the lockdown. New accommodation in the form of 12 Exclusive Villas were finished just as borders closed in 2020. These units were designed for adults only and will provide the perfect island escape for couples wanting privacy. Another 3 villas are being built and when completed, it will increase the total inventory of Exclusive Villas to 15.

Saletoga has also been busy getting its team prepared with Covid-19 training awareness, health and safety training as well as general upskilling for all departments.

Keeping the resort operational during the COVID-19 has been the key focus for Return To Paradise. And while waiting for borders to reopen, the resort built seven new Garden Villas. Each of them features 2 or 3 rooms, making it ideal for small groups of friends or families.

The resort sits proudly on the outset of Lefaga beach where the classic movie “Return to Paradise” was filmed back in the 1950’s featuring Hollywood royalties Gary Cooper and Roberta Hayes.

On Savaii, the Amoa Resort has also used the border lockdown to upgrade its amenities and expand its accommodation options with the construction of 12 new Garden Rooms featuring both indoor bathrooms and sky roof shower.

Set amidst exotic tropical gardens and fringed by the most magnificent blue lagoon, the Amoa Resort is the perfect base for couples and families seeking superior-class accommodation in Savaii.

Kuki’s by the Harbour is the newest accommodation property on Savaii. Open in October 2020, it is located within walking distance from the Salelologa Wharf, the main gateway to Savaii.

With 4 self-contained units by the ocean, each room is fully furnished with a small deck for guests to enjoy the breath-taking view and stunning sunrises. Manager and owner, Mr Leota Matamua “Kuki” Retzlaff revealed that more exciting developments can be expected in the future, including additional units as well as a bar & restaurant.

The new Villas are larger in size compared to those which are part of the original build. All are located on the mainland by the main entrance and directly face Taumeasina Island.

Meanwhile the Samoa Tourism Authority successfully launched a Samoa Travel Tracer App (available on Google Play and App Store) as well as a Beautiful Anticipation microsite, a central hub for travellers, industry and trade partners to rediscover everything Samoa has to offer as well as the latest information on Samoa’s travel-ready preparations,
