Calvià has become centre-stage for music events this summer, with festivals welcoming international crowds to enjoy some of the most-popular artists, both in Spain and on the global music scene. Kicked off by the huge Majorca Live Festival at the end of June and continuing with Sonar Festival Weekends throughout July, the annual festivals calendar extends the island’s creative atmosphere through August at Mallorca Live Summer and Port Adriano, into September with Mel Fest.
Mallorca Live Festival and Summer 2022
Between 25 and 28 June, 83 acts performed on the 4 different stages set within its 25,000 square-metre venue, the old Aquapark in Calvià. Headlined by Christina Aguilera, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Jeff Mills and Supergrass amongst others, the 3-day festival mixed genres and presented musicians from all around the world. However, the music does not stop here for Majorca Live as Mallorca Live Summer will continue to the end of August, with 13 acts playing at the old Aquapark. Tickets for acts are selling fast, including Crystal Fighters, Dani Martín and Leiva. With a gig almost every weekend of August, there is plenty to see in Calvià’s summer of music! Mel Fest 2022

The day festival will also be held at the old Calvià Aquapark, hosted by four of the most amazing Spanish artists of the moment: Juancho Marqués, Jaime Lorente, Dollar Selmouni and Ly Raine. The day is a fusion of genres and a journey through contemporary Spanish hip hop. Tickets are from 29 EUROS and can be bought here: https://mallorcalivemusic.com/en/summer/artistas/mel-fest/
Live Music by the Marina in 2022
Throughout the year, first-class marina Port Adriano makes the perfect venue for live music events, with the backdrop of turquoise waters, luxury yachts, extravagant shops and delicious dining. In June, the AfterSun Festival, in collaboration with Calvià Town Hall, displayed the works of 20 urban artists on the maritime containers in the port, and decorated this large area with street art murals, alongside music performances and food trucks. This July, the iconic Nile Rogers and Chic played at the port, delivering hit after hit. Coming up in August, The Dire Straits Experience (06 August) and Texas (12 August) will play to crowds.
